Its been a pretty busy week or so finishing up school things for school and skating during some periods of free time. Thankfully my schedules all cleared up long enough for me to work on a couple of new ideas for stickers/design pieces.
Now that’ll need a couple of refinements.
But this on the other hand, is pretty much all ready to go.
I’m not big on American football but from what I know, the Oakland Raiders have ONE of THE BEST Sports team logos around. And that’s not just in football, I mean in sports, period. Ice Cube and the rest of NWA swore by this on their snapbacks. And those guys were hard, just like the Raiders. I love the logo so much I just had to give it the Lazy Eye Treatment.
Atiba Jefferson is a known skateboarding photographer. The video shows him against Paul Rodriguez in a friendly game of S.K.A.T.E. and winning.
…against P-Rod!? Title says it all
I’d like to think that in different ways or forms, I’ve grown up around skateboarding. Idolizing my fair share of skaters, taking the time (and dealing with the frustration) of learning tricks and trying to keep with the culture and how after years and years is still rapidly growing. I don’t deal with the distinction that most people do. Whether its popping a sick heelflip into a frontside blunt or all those tricks to cross-stepping and bombing hills on longboards, skateboarding remains at its core, an expression. One that keeps moving forward.
To propel yourself forward, you gotta push. To get where you need to go, you gotta push. No matter how bad things get you down, you gotta keep pushing.
Are four stickers from my initial run that I used to stickerbomb all around. Keep your eyes peeled, more and more are going to be popping up all over. Maybe some in new designs.
With all the hectic stuff going on, its nice to sometimes just stop and think. And so I did. And I decided to eventuall add a “store” section to the site where I can sell some of the cool things I’ve found from all around. From deadstock sneakers to vintage clothing and eventually my line so just hang tight.
Here are some photo taken from the Warriors of Radness Spring 2010 lookbook. Just a simple nod to fun, effortless clothing that reflects both modern and throwback elements of beachwear and surf culture.
This is definitely going into the “inspiration” pile.

I’ve never been much for politics, especially the circus that is Philippine politics. Heck, even with the extension for the upcoming elections in May, I’m still not a registered voter. But my apathetic attitude towards Philippine politics is slowly starting to change.
The importance of the youth with regards to this election can’t be stressed enough. And you’ve got to commend organized media for utilizing a multitude of access points for the youth to get involved in the process other than getting them registered to vote. Right now, I’m watching the Presidential Youth Forum which was held recently at De LaSalle University on ANC. Forums like these allow the general viewing public to demystify the people vying for the presidency by giving them an outlet to directly voice out their positions on pertinent issues regarding our country.
Sure, there are some candidates who stand out from others for one reason or another. But I believe that those people should not rest on their laurels, especially when their credibility remains to be sketchy ground. If I were to vote, I would vote for a leader that does not solely bank on incentives such as rags-to-riches story or a famous last name because money can’t buy good governance and you most certainly cannot elect the dead.
You may think it to be hypocritical with all this coming from a person who isn’t directly involved in the democratic process but I believe the Filipino voter should see beyond what the commercials say, what the celebrities say, what the catch-phrases are and take the initiative and get to know candidates more for their platforms than their PR. So take the initiative to see beyond, be informed and (not like me), exercise your right to become part of the democratic process!
Vote responsibly and take part in progress!
There isn’t much more to say on how amazing this article is in terms of laying down the movers and shakers in the progressive world of streetwear for the past decade. This couldn’t have come from anybody without years of inside knowledge and information far more than the most of us who have access to a computer and street culture blogs. A retrospective every so often seems fitting for any type of culture that’s concerned with progress.
So without further rambling, here it is from the all-over prints to the Supreme online store.

After some time away due to mounting work, it was nice to find some time to break away for a while. A nice little stretch of asphalt, some good company and you’ve got a nice little longboard skate session going.
Going Fully Loaded
Its amazing how longboarding as a sport has grown in these parts in a span of a couple of years. I remember how I started out, and that was when someone showed me the ”Whirling Dervish” video and I just never looked back. Its cool to see friends picking it up and just cross-stepping and sliding their way to skating bliss.
It also helps to have local shops, initiatives and groups that just find ways to keep the community growing. Gear has now been made easier for beginners and seasoned skaters of all disciplines to score, along with the growing number of events that’ll be taking place this year.
Its also a pretty cool experience to know and actually share a session with one of those people.
If you longboard in these parts, chances are you’ve probably heard about this guy. Or maybe you’ve seen some skate video parts. That’s Gerard Cancio, one of the best skaters around and all-around cool guy. Sharing a session with this guy is just like going to school. You might as well take some notes, as you very well might learn something.
